کچرے کے ایسے ڈھیر سے گزرتے ہوئے جہاں بدبدو سے دماغ پھٹ جائے ہم ایک لمحہ بھی گوارہ نہیں کر سکتے کہ ہم یہاں ایک ماہ رہیں۔ مگر وہ لوگ رہتے ہیں۔ کس لیے؟ ہمارے لیے۔ چار دن ہم نہ نہائیں ہمیں خارش پڑ جاتی ہے کچھ ایجنٹس ایسے ہوتے ہیں جو کئی ماہ نہیں نہا پاتے اور ان کے جسم پہ میل کی تہییں جم جاتی ہیں۔ صرف ہماری حفاظت کےلیے وہ یہ بہروپ اپناتے ہیں۔ جاڑے کی شدید سردی میں جب ہمیں موٹے لحافوں میں بھی ٹھنڈ لگ رہی ہوتی ہے وہ لوگ ٹھنڈی فٹ پاتھوں پہ سوئے ہوتے ہیں خود کو بوریوں سے لپیٹ کر۔ آخر کیوں؟ صرف ہمارے لیے۔
ہم میں سے کوئی گوارہ نہیں کرتا کہ پھٹے پرانے کپڑے پہن کر عوام کے سامنے آئے لیکن وہ لوگ جو ہمارے ایجنٹ کہلاتے ہیں چیتھڑوں کے لباس میں کئی کئی ماہ گزارہ کرتے ہیں۔ کبھی کسی سترھویں اٹھارویں گریڈ کے افسر کو آلوؤں کی ریڑھی لگائے آلو بیچتے دیکھا ہے؟ کبھی کسی چودھویں گریڈ کے آفیسر کو کچرا کونڈی پہ شاپر اکھٹے کرتے دیکھا ہے؟ یہ سارے کام یہ لوگ کرتے ہیں اپنی شخصیت اور اپنے عہدے کو ایک لمحہ زھن میں لائے بغیر۔ کس لیے؟ محض ہمارے لیے۔
ہم سمجھتے ہیں سیکرٹ ایجنٹس بڑے ٹھاٹ سے رہنے والے لوگ ہوتے ہیں۔ تھوڑی سی دیر کےلیے تصور کریں محض فرض کی ادائیگی کے جرم میں کسی کے سارے ناخن پلاس سے کھینچ لیے جاتے ہیں۔ کسی کے دانت اکھاڑے جاتے ہیں۔ کسی کو بجلی کے جھٹکے دیے جاتے ہیں۔ کسی کی شلوار کے پائنچے باندھ کر چوہے چھوڑے جاتے ہیں، کسی کو برف کی سلوں پر گھنٹوں لٹایا جاتا ہے تو کسے کے پیروں کے تلوے ھیٹر سے داغ دیے جاتے ہیں۔ کیسا محسوس ہوا سوچ کر؟ اس زمین کے سینکڑوں بیٹے اس اذیت سے گزر کر شہید ہو چکے ہیں۔ کس لیے؟ محض ہمارے لیے۔ آپ کو پتہ ہے بیرونِ ملک لانچنگ سے قبل اس ملک کے ایجنٹس کو سائنائیڈ زہر کا ایک کیپسول بھی دیا جاتا ہے اور زہر دینے والا کوئی اور نہیں ہوتا وہ سینیئر افسر ہوتا ہے جو اس ایجنٹ کو اپنے بچوں سے بڑھ کر چاہتا ہے اور تربیت کرتا ہے۔ پرآخری وقت یہ تاکید کرتا ہے کہ بیٹے اگر پکڑے گئے تو دشمنوں کے ہاتھ آنے سے پہلے یہ زہر استعمال کر لینا ہماری زندگی ہمارے ملک سے اہم نہیں ہے۔ تصور کریں کوئی اپنے بیٹے کو اپنے ہاتھوں سے زہر کھانے کا کہہ سکتا ہے ؟ مگر یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں۔ کس لیے؟ محض ہمارے لیے۔ 
دورانِ ڈیوٹی شہادت پانے والوں کو بڑے اعزاز سے دفنایا جاتا ہے مگر یہ واحد لوگ ہیں جو گمنامی کی زندگی جی کر گمنامی میں انتقال کر جاتے ہیں۔ ان لوگوں کا جذبہ کیا ہوگا جن کی لاشیں لینے بھی محکمے کی گاڑیاں اور لوگ نہیں جاتے بلکہ ایدھی فاؤنڈیشن کی گاڑیوں میں ان کی تڑی مڑی لاشیں واپس آتی ہیں اور بنا شور شرابہ کیے ان کو دفن کیا جاتا ہے۔ کیا یہ آسان ہوتا ہے کہ اپنے کولیگ کی لاش وصول کرنے بھی کوئی خود نہ جا سکے؟ ان کے بچے بھی ہوتے ہیں اور گھر والیاں بھی ماں باپ بھی۔ ایسا آج تک نہیں ہوا کہ مشن پہ جانے سے قبل کسی ایجنٹ نے اپنے مشن سے متعلق بتایا ہو۔ شہادت کی صورت میں بعض دفعہ گھر والوں کو کئی کئی سال علم نہیں ہوتا کہ ہمارا بھائی بیٹا یا باپ شہید ہو چکا ہے۔ یہ لوگ کس لیے کرتے ہین یہ سب؟ ہمارے لیے محض ہمارے لیے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ ہم بنا ان کو دیکھے، بنا ان کو ملے ساری زندگی محض سیکرٹ ایجنٹس کے خیال سے محبت کرتے ہیں۔ وہ بھی تو بنا ہمیں دیکھے بنا ہمیں ملے ہمارے لیے جان دیتے ہیں تو ہم بھی بنا انہیں ملے اور بنا انہیں دیکھے کیوں نہ ان پہ جان دینے کی سوچ اپنائیں۔ اور ہاں۔ کسی سیکرٹ ایجنٹ کی زندگی اس سے کہیں زیادہ تلخ اور سخت ہوتی ہے جتنا آپ آسانی کا گمان کرتے ہیں۔
